Good evening all! And hello Emily, our newest follower!
Today was our last full day in London. It was also our first day of sun in the city. We had a wonderful day. We started by seeing the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, and then went down to Westminster Abbey. Alas, it was closed for a special event, so don't ask us about what is in Westminster Abbey, b/c all we can tell you is that it has dead people and that we purchased postal cards at the gift shop. We happened to walk past 10 Downing Street, but did not see the prime minister, only his scary guards with big guns. We then met up with Lindsay's friends Jamie and Ken, who took us to see Greenwich. Yes, that is Lindsay stradling the Prime Meridian. She is officially in the Eastern and Western Hemispheres at exactly the same time. She can't read military time folks, but by golly this is an incredible feat nonetheless. Finally, we went to the local pub, where Fish and Chips Redemption 2009 occurred and Lindsay's bad experience yesterday is nothing but a bad memory and a scrapbook page waiting to happen. We will miss London. This is what we won't miss: Only five tv channels. One of which shows exclusively golf. Another which shows old CSI's and Will and Graces.
Tomorrow - off the Paris! London, we will always remember to mind the gap.
Well London survived...Good luck Paris!
